SlideKey Privacy Policy

SlideKey is a keyboard app that generates message suggestions. This policy describes exactly what data we handle. Short version: we never store your messages, and we don't know who you are — there are no accounts.

What we process

When you tap Generate, the text visible in your current input field and your selected tone are sent to our server and forwarded to our AI provider (OpenAI) to produce a reply suggestion. This text is processed transiently to generate your reply and is not stored by us. Per OpenAI's API terms, API data is not used to train their models.

What we store

• A random device identifier (a UUID we generate on install — not your name, phone number, Apple ID, or advertising ID). We use it to meter free tries and to activate your purchase.
• Aggregate usage events: which tone was used, when a generation or purchase happened. These contain no message content.
• Purchase records are handled by Apple and our payments processor RevenueCat, linked to the same random device identifier.

What we never collect

• Message content (nothing you or anyone else types is stored)
• Names, emails, phone numbers, or contacts
• Keystrokes outside the moment you tap Generate
• Location data

Why the keyboard asks for "Full Access"

iOS requires keyboards to have Full Access to make network requests. SlideKey uses the network for exactly one thing: sending your Generate request to our server. We do not log or transmit anything else you type.

Third parties

• OpenAI — processes text to generate replies (transient)
• RevenueCat / Apple — purchase processing and receipts
• Railway — server hosting

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Retention & deletion

Aggregate usage events are retained for product analytics. Because the only identifier we hold is a random device ID, deleting the app removes the link between you and any stored data. To request deletion of data tied to your device ID, email us the ID shown in the app's settings screen.

Age

SlideKey is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
